Efficient Recovery Technology for Recovering Titanium and Phosphorus from Iron Tailings
Based on technological characteristics of titanium and phosphate in super-poor vanadium titano-magnetite in Chengde area and the processing of titanium in vanadium titano-magnetite in Panzhihua area, comprehensive separation technology featuring transportation at shallow bed and separation at boiling-bed is developed to solve the technical problem such as hard mineralization of titanium and phosphorus with higher density, susceptibility to scaling and easy precipitation. With single cell reaching 200m³, recovery of titanium and phosphorus at a 30 million t/a plant can be realized.
Case Analysis 1
In 2007, Longhua Shunda Co., Ltd in Chengde City adopted modified CLF-40 flotation machine which solved the problem that the coarse particle apatite minerals in magnetic separation tailing were difficult to be recovered. The recovery rate can reach above 85% with phosphorus reaching 33%-35%.

Case Analysis 2
In 2010, 80 sets of modified KYF/XCF-24 flotation machines were adopted in Longmang Mining Corporation to separate titanium mineral with larger density, whereby flotation of higher concentration as 45%-50% can be achieved with little precipitation and good mineral processing indicators.
