Tailings Iron Resource Recovery Technology

Technology for tailing recovery are suitable for recovering magnetic iron from iron, non-ferrous and other tailings, with features of full recovery and wide application range in terms of particle size and concentration.

Case Analysis


(1)Re-separation of Iron Tailing
On an iron concentrator, no tailing separation process was furnished previously, resulting in the content of magnetic iron in tailing as high as 1-1.5%. With BKW1030 magnetic separator for tailing recovery introduced, magnetic iron content in tailing has been reduced to 0.3-0.6%.
(2)Iron Recovery from Phosphorus Tailings
On a large-scale phosphorus concentrator, the grade of magnetic iron in tailing is roughly 0.5-0.8%. With BKW1030 magnetic separator introduced, the magnetic iron in tailing has been reduced to 0.1-0.2%.
(3)Equipment for Tailings Recovery
The content of magnetic iron in tailings are varying due to different separation processes and ore natures, with MFe content in tailing staying at ~1% generally and even reaching 6% in some circumstances, as a result there is serious loss of magnetic iron. The application of the technology can reduce the content of MFe to below 0.5%.
