Technology for Iron Removal in Grinding Circuit

The technology can be applied for ore discharge and iron removal from SAG mill and ball mill to protect the equipment in grinding and crushing process as well as the equipment in the downstream of the subsequent mineral separation process. With grinding efficiency greatly improved especially in SABC process, the technology boasts of stable process, high grinding efficiency, low energy consumption and wide application scope.

Case Analysis

(1) Applied at SAG Mill Discharge Outlet



Ona large- scale copper concentrator with a daily processing capacity of 30,000t/d, 2 sets of MA-2210 magnetic arcs were installed on 2 sets of Ф8.8x4.8m SAGmill for the purpose of removing iron with a removal rate well above 95% andthe operability of the overall process improved by 2%.



(2) Installed at Ball Mill Outlet



Ata large-scale copper molybdenum concentrator with a capacity of 4.2million t/d,1 set of MA-2610 magnetic arc was adopted at Ф7.9x13.0m ball mill outlet foriron removal, with the operability of the overall process improved and thedownstream equipment well protected.
