Technology for Removing Iron and Improving Purity of Non-metallic Ore

Impurity content in non-metallic ore determines the quality grade of the product, and iron content is one of the important indicators. Over the years, we have been engaged in removing iron and improving purity. Complete technical solutions regarding iron removal by means of wet or dry processing can be delivered, especially in respect to super- pure non-metallic ore.

Case Analysis

(1) Removing Iron from Silicon Sand for Glass Manufacturing

CTG series magnetic separators with automatic discharging roller are applicable for removing iron from silicon sand. Experience with iron removal in Hebei Province proves that the equipment can reduce Fe2O3 content from 0.15% to below 0.05% with an iron removal rate at above 95%.

(2) High-purity quartz sand iron removal

For iron removal and purity improvement of high-purity quartz sand, GCG electromagnetic inductor roll intensity magnetic separator has an irreplaceable role, the separator magnetic field can reach above 2T. A plant in Jiangsu carried out high-purity quartz sand iron removal work and one- time separation can reduce Fe2O3 content from 5~20 ppm to below 2 ppm, and ultra high purity quartz sand of Fe2O3 content of 0.5~ below 1ppm can be acquired through twice separation, and the optimum separation indicators can reach to 0.3~0.5 ppm.

(3) Removing Iron from Andalusite, Rutile and Zircon Sand

RGC double- roller permanent intensity magnetic separator was applied in Xinjiang for removing iron from andalusite, with andalusite concentrate having Al2O3 55% - 55% and Fe2O3 less than 1%. GCG electromagnetic induction roller intensity magnetic separator was also adopted for removing iron from non-metallic materials such as zircon sand and rutile with excellent separation indexes.

(4) Removing Iron from Potassium Feldspar and Nepheline

DCH electromagnetic flat ring intensity magnetic separator can be applied for removing iron from non-metallic ore such as potassium feldspar, nepheline and sillimanite with good separation indexes.
