Technology and Solution for Hematite Gravity Separation

Gravity separation of hematite can be conducted in flowsheet composed of one roughing and one cleaning by spiral chutes or with an additional scavenging if necessary. Qualified iron concentrate can be directly obtained.

Case Analysis

A large-scale iron ore concentrator with an annual processing capacity of 9 million tons, 288 sets of BL1500-F&B spiral chutes were adopted in a gravity process composed of one roughing and one cleaning. With grade of crude ore at roughly 37% (TFe), gravity separation by BL1500 can achieve iron concentrate with a grade of 66% (TFe).
